DMDK Chief’s wife, Premalathavijayakant, dared- both the DMK and AIADMK parties to go it alone in the poll without forging alliances as her own party did.

In a speech long on platitudes and short on detail, Premalathavijayakant thundered; “if you do so (contesting independently) you well lose deposits in all the constituencies” as she directed her ire a both the Dravidian parties.

The sweating swan, affectionately addressed by her party cadre as  “ANNI”  was infuriated because,” the ruling DMK Deliberately disconnected electric supply at the points where I was supposed to deliver speeches.”

She said these pressure tactics would not work with me, and went on to say that her party cadre was ready to wage a war at the slightest hint from captain, but “We want to respect democratic norms and hence we would not subvert the rule of law”.

Warning the ruling party not to” mess around with her party”, Premalathavijayakant said  the so- called experienced parties failed to provide basic amenities to the people of vandavasi including permanent employment, and added, “giving Rs.500 each for votes is  a political lure to make more money later.”

She said if her party’s candidate, janarthanan was elected, Captain would follow up all the developmental activities that are currently implemented in viruddachlam, the only winning constituency of DMDK.

Schemes like providing free sewing machines and computers would be provided to the youth of Vandasai, in addition to implementing the existing scheme o depositing Rs.10,000 in the name of all the infant girls born on Captain’s birthday.

New Announced DMDK NEW CHANGE OF POST

DMDK president Vijayakant today made sudden change in party posts is one districts, He also appointed office – bearers for the  Thiruvannamalai North  unit of the party.

In a press release here, the actor- politician said the Party’s district secretary  of Thiruvannamalai North Mr.S.Selvam, have been removed form the primary memberships of the dmdk.

If sources are to be believed, these changes have been made following complaints on some office- bearers and to make party apparatus efficiently enough  to face the 2011 Assembly elections.

Today DMDK party leader Vijayakant Kick – starting his campaign at Arumuganeri on Saturday in favour of Gomathi A. Ganeshan, DMDK, candidate for Thiruchendur constituency, asked the people to realize the existing situation and vote for DMDK to help the poor.

“ The onus is with the state Government to contain price rise “he said.
On the by – poll in Tiruchendur, he said it did not happen accidentally. Referring to the resignation of Anitha Radhakrishan  form the AIADMK, Mr.Vijayakant said he did not resign for the good of people by any means.

The soaring price of essential commodities could not be contained  by the ruling party, he said.

The Student community was facing difficulties in finding employment, In Sprite of their professional degrees, “Could the government provide a job for a single man or woman in every family instead of distributing free co lour television sets?”

He charged that corruption was rampant in all government departments and ti would affect the administrative system. He appealed to the people to cast their votes in favors of the DMDK. If the DMDK won the Tiruchendur seat, it would not bring about a change of government, but the defeat of DMDK here could make difference, at least to put an end to electoral malpractice, he added.

His Campaign tour proceeded through kayalpattinam, Veerapandipattinam, Tiruchendur, Kayamoli, Poochikadu, kurumur, punakayal and other places.
